How every increase in the price of fuel adds to our weekly and monthly expense, we all know it. It affects the number of trips we can enjoy with our family; the number of pleasure rides we are able to take etc are also affected. It is causing many people to find alternative ways of increasing the efficiency of the vehicles they use, for the way the oil prices are increasing.

However there are a few things we all can do to increase the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, now there is nothing the people can do about the rising fuel prices.

Some people think that putting less fuel and going back to the gas station as and when the fuel is required, is a good way to save money. It tends to increase wastage of time and fuel due the extra trips that you make to the gas station and an incorrect practice. You are still wasting that time and fuel, Even if the gas station is near your house.

The people who don’t pay attention to the engines of the cars tend to cause extra fuel consumption. A lot of gas gets wasted when the engine of the cars and other vehicles are clogged up or dirty. With the dirt and pollution which is found these days, the clogging of the car engines is no surprise. We just have to pay attention to it and clean it up so that we can save fuel, since we know that the car engine does get dirty.

Many people keep the tires under inflated for reasons only known to them. If people can make sure their tires are inflated to the optimal level as prescribed in the user guide of their cars, they would end up saving a lot of money.

Many people continue to keep their bikes loaded on the cap of the car even when they are not regularly going for biking. If you are not biking normally then reduce that extra weight that you are making the car carry, it will put less load on the car’s engine and addition the fuel efficiency.
